Thankyou very much for your email.
Actually MaAriful Quran is in existence for so many decades and is present in countless homes and almost every Madrassah.
Therefore the issue is not a private one but it is a public matter.
About 12 days ago on 29th July 2009 I had sent the article by TCS to Justice Taqi Usmani for his "valuable Opinion".
To defend the Holy Quran against any accusation of contradiction is not only my duty but my great pleasure as well.
If I am wrong, Justice Taqi Usmani saheb can clarify and I will definitely be ashamed. I will be too happy to admit my mistake PUBLICLY.

I read your article. I am not going to comment on the content of the article as i do not have the knowledge to do so.
But, i am extremely disappointed to see the way you have raised your point. In your article you state that Mufti Shafi Sahib, in Ma Arif ul Quran, has written that there is a contradiction in Quran. Now, if you have read something and you think that he has made a mistake then there must be a proper way to address your concern/point. You have mentioned that his sons, both eminent scholars, are alive and should clear the confusion. BUT have you made the effort to approach any of them yourself? have you emailed? written letter? arranged a meeting? If you have made no concerted effort to contact them to clear the confusion, and you are just writing an article to mainstream public then this is an infantile mistake.
For point such as the one you have raised, needs to be raised in the circles of renowned scholars of deen, not to mainstream public, who you will confuse with your points and arguments. You will undermine the Ulama, belittle public confidence in Ulama. It is possible that a novice can experience a difficulty in understanding the depth of knowledge, however, if one is sincere, it can be eliminated through a discussion with a Scholar of deen. After all, there is clear difference between a scholar and an amateur.
Can you please reply and let me if you have made any contact with his sons or any other Scholar of deen.
