Hi,
I posted a query at "irshad.org" a week ago but still have received no reply. I'm hoping you might be able to shed some light on this.
In the Holy Quran in 3:56 and 5:118 the words "Inni Mutawaffika" and "Falamma Tawaffayni" appear for Jesus. We translate this to "natural death" whereas all the Ghair Ahmadi translations conveniently say "take thee" or "gather thee". However "tawaffe" has appeared around 23 times in the Holy Quran apart fromt these too places and at all times it has meant death by taking the soul (not body!) Twice it is said in regarding to sleep, but sleep as we know is also said to be a temporary death.
Also, in 10:47 the word is also used for the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)! So why is it that for the Holy Prophet you take it to mean something else and for Jesus something entirely different.
Please shed some light on this for me! Looking forward to your prompt response!
Faizan Ahmad
