With the Name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Merciful.
Peace Be Upon the Holy Prophets. If Allah Wills, What Allah Wills.

Over the years most of the people that I have come across are of the opinion that the Holy Quran does not mention that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) went to the heavens during Miraj.

In this article Inshallah it will be proved that the Holy Prophet did go to the heavens in the light of the Holy Quran also. The verse No. 1 of Surah Al-Isra No.17 is as follows:-

“Glorified be He (Allah) who took His slave (Hazrat Muhammad SAW) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makka) to the farthest mosque, the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him of Our Signs.

The verse praises Allah who took Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) in the night to the Farthest Mosque.

The farthest mosque cannot be any mosque of the earth because Allah praises Himself for having taken the slave within night to the farthest mosque.

If the mosque means any mosque of the earth, then mankind can complete that journey in a few minutes these modern days.

Allah is praising Himself that in such a short time during the night, He made the Prophet cover such a great distance to the farthest mosque. How can man cover that great distance in a few minutes today ????

So the Holy Quran when it mentions the farthest mosque, definitely means some mosque whose distance is beyond the reach of men. So it is not any mosque on the earth, nor so close to the earth that man can reach during the night………………………… but definitely it is the mosque in the heaven which man will not be able to reach in a short span of time even with future advances in technology.

So the Holy Quran supports the Hadis literature that the Holy Prophet (SAW) did go to the Heavens. That house is Bait-ul-ma’mur (Surah 52 At-Tur verse 4). This is the house of Allah over the heavens which the Prophet (SAW) saw when he ascended to the 7th Heaven.

Hazrat Gabriel told to the Prophet “This is Al-Bait Al-Mamur where 70,000 Angels perform prayers daily, and when they leave they never return to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily).

The verse 17/1 mentions “Farthest Mosque”. The mosque will remain farthest  and no mosque will be more far than this mosque until ALLAH Himself changes the position. Naturally then the obvious choice is Al-Biat Al-Mamur.

ACHIEVEMENT OF ALLAH IS GREATER THAN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF MAN

Sura 27 'The Ant' verses 38,39,40
38. He said(Solomon ): O chiefs! which of you will bring unto me her throne, ere they come unto me submitting themselves?
39. A giant from the jinns said : I shall bring it unto thee before you rise from your place: verily I am strong for it and trusty
40.  The one who had some knowledge of the Book said: I shall bring it unto thee ere thy eye twinketh. Then when he saw it placed before him, he said: this is of the Grace of my Lord (Haaza min fadhley Rabbi)

When the giant jinn can bring the throne before Hazrat Sulaiman wuld rise from his place, when the person with some knowledge of the Book could bring  the throne before the eye would twinkle, why shall ALLAH praise himself for the smaller achievement of covering the distance from Makkah to Jerusalem in sometime of the night???????????????? Surely the achievement of ALLAH is greater than the achievement of man. Therefore, the distance covered in the night was not from Makkah to Jerusalem but from earth to the seventh heaven. This is the night journey for which ALLAH is praising Himself and surely this achievement of ALLAH is greater than what giant jinn could do or the man with some knowledge of the book could do before the twinkling of the eye.
