About the Day of Judgement, Allah says in the Holy Quran, Surah Maida 5, verse #119: "This is a Day whereon their truthfulness will benefit the truthful."
The verse lays emphasis on Truthfulness and NOT on Correctness.
In order to be correct, you need complete information, complete knowledge and great wisdom to utilize the information and knowledge so as to arrive at the correct decision. Also needed are health, time (may be years), frame of mind, etc.
But, to be truthful, even an illiterate person can also become truthful in one second. That is, he can immediately speak what is in his heart and mind.
But please keep in mind that the verse of the Holy Quran does not say that you should only (ONLY) speak the truth. That is, NOT steal every night and tell every morning the truth that you have stolen in the night.
Rather, the verse says that you should yourself be truthful, i.e. (1) you should speak the truth (2) you should search for the truth (3) you should be eager to embrace the truth (4) you should hate intentional false belief and statements (5) nothing should prevent you from accepting the truth (6) so the great condition of truthfulness is that you should be open-minded, and willing to accept what logically appears to be the truth, even though the ancestors thought differently.
So, don't be afraid of finding the truth in religion. Don’t be afraid of committing mistakes. Rather, be afraid of intentional false statement and belief.
You will be questioned only about what was in your power and control……… Truthfulness was in your power and control……… Correctness was not in your control.
Try to be as correct as possible BUT decide to be 100% truthful |
