Confusion in The Torah
Hagar was Sarah’s slave or Abraham’s slave????
Abraham’s Original Name was Abram
Sarah’s Original Name was Sarai

Genesis  16/ 1 to 15 : Abram’s (Abraham’s)wife Sarai (Sarah)had not borne him any children. But she had an Egyptian slave - girl named Hagar, and so she said to Abram,
“The Lord has kept me from having children. Why don’t you sleep with MY SLAVE-GIRL? Perhaps she can have a child for me.” Abram agreed with what Sarai said .So she gave Hagar to him to be his concubine. Abram had intercourse with Hagar, and she became pregnant. When she found out that she was pregnant, she became proud and despised Sarai.
Then Sarai said to Abram, It is your fault that Hagar despises me. I myself gave her to you, and ever since she found out that she was pregnant, she has despised me……..
(6)Abram answered “Very well , she IS YOUR SLAVE and under your control, do whatever you want with her.” Then Sarai treated Hagar so cruelly that she ran away.
(7).The angel of the lord met Hagar at a spring in the desert on the road to
(8).Shur and said , “Hagar, SLAVE OF SARAI, where have you come from and where are you going?”
She answered, I am running away for MY MISTRESS.”
(9). He (Angel) said, “Go back to her and be HER SLAVE………
(15).Hagar bore Abram a son, and he named him Ishmael.
Genesis 17(19) : But God said, No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son and you will name him Isaac.
Genesis 21 (9) : One day Ishmael……..was playing with Sarah’s son Isaac (10)Sarah saw them and said to Abraham, “Send this slave - girl and her son away. The son of this woman must not get any part of your wealth, which my son Isaac should inherit”.(11)This troubled Abraham very much, because Ishmael was also his son.
(12)BUT GOD SAID TO ABRAHAM, DON’T BE WORRIED ABOUT THE BOY AND YOUR (Abraham’s)SLAVE HAGAR.
 

Observation &  Question

Everybody says that Hagar was the slave of Sarah.
(1)The Torah says but she (Sarah) had a slave girl named Hagar
(2)Sarah says “why don’t you sleep with my slave - girl?
(3)Abraham says (to Sarah)“Very well ,she is YOUR SLAVE and under your control”
(4)Angel said “Hagar, slave of Sarai”
(5)Angel again said “Go back to her (Sarah) and he her slave

The Question  ?

How can God say that Hagar was the slave of Abraham????
In Genesis 21/12 God said to Abraham, “Don’t be worried about the boy and YOUR slave Hagar.”

The Request


The Torah itself says, Sarah says, Abraham says and the Angel says that Hagar was the slave of  Sarah.

How can God say that Hagar was the slave of Abraham? God simply  cannot lie.

The Jews and Christians are requested to clarify the contradiction or Rectify the faith.
