My brother’s son who lives in USA was on a short visit to Pakistan. I told him that I have written an article on Pharaoh’s Mummy which I requested him to circulate in USA. My nephew replied:  “I have the video-cassette of the film ‘THE TEN COMMANDMENTS’. I have seen it 7 or 8 times. According to the film Pharaoh was not drowned while chasing Moses. After the army of Pharaoh was drowned, Pharaoh went back to the palace.”      

I was surprised to hear that because the Holy Bible clearly says that Pharaoh (King) was drowned in Psalms 136 as follows:  “But He (God) drowned the king of Egypt……”

When I saw the Bible after meeting my nephew, I came across THE MOST IMPORTANT & FANTASTIC POINT, i.e. Joseph’s 400 years old mummy went with Moses on the dry bed of the divided sea, and on THIS VERY DRY BED of the sea, within minutes Pharaoh was drowned, (and as per Quran his body was preserved as a mummy.)

So the present article concerning 400 years old mummy of Joseph came into existence as a result of the film “THE TEN COMMANDMENTS”. If my nephew had not seen this film, and I had not seen the Bible, I may not have written this article.

“THE TEN COMMANDMENTS” film had its own purpose of preventing Pharaoh from drowning and sending Pharaoh back to the palace after his army was drowned.

But  Allah has His Own Ways of Manifesting The Truths.

Allah made the film  “THE TEN COMMANDMENTS”  the cause of this article.

A Point to Note

          When the Qur’an was transmitted to man by the Prophet, the bodies of ALL the Pharaohs (bodies of ALL the Pharaohs) who are today considered (rightly or wrongly) to have something to do with the Exodus were in their tombs of the Necropolis of Thebes, on the opposite side of the Nile from Luxor. At the time however, absolutely nothing was known of this fact, and it was not until the end of the Nineteenth century (1898) that they were discovered there. As the Qur’an states, the body of the Pharaoh of the Exodus was in fact rescued: whichever of the Pharaohs it was, visitors may see him in the Royal Mummies Room of the Egyptian Museum, Cario. (“The Bible, The Qur’an & Science”  written by: Maurice Bucaille, page 239).

 Another interesting point is that Joseph had earlier carried the embalmed dead body of his father Jacob to be buried in the same graveyard. And finally his own mummy goes. For the sake of interest I give below some extracts from the Bible (GENESIS 49 and 50):-

 The Death and Burial of Jacob (GENESIS 49 and 50)

29 Then Jacob commanded his sons, “Now that I am going to join my people in death, bury me with my father in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, at Machpelah east of Mamre, in the land of Canaan. Abraham bought this cave and field from Ephron for a burial – ground. That is where they buried Abraham and his wife Sarah; that is where they buried Isaac and his wife Rebecca, and that is where I buried Leah. The field and the cave in it were bought from Hittites. Bury me there.” 33 When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he lay down again and died. Joseph threw himself on his father, crying and kissing his face. Then Joseph gave orders to embalm his father’s body. It took forty days, the normal time for embalming. The Egyptian mourned for him seventy days. When the time of mourning was over, Joseph said to the king’s officials, “Please take this message to the king: When my father was about to die he made me promise him that I would bury him in the tomb which he had prepared in the land of Canaan. So please let me go and bury my father and then I will come back. “The King answered “Go and bury your father, as you  PROMISED  you would”.

7 So Joseph went to bury his father. All the king’s officials, the senior men of his court, and all the leading men of Egypt went with Joseph. His family, his brother and the rest of his father’s family all went with him. Only their small children and their sheep, goats, and cattle stayed in the region of Goshen. Men in chariots and men on horseback also went with him, it was a huge group. When they came to the threshing place at Atad east of the Jordan, they mourned loudly for a long time, and Joseph performed mourning ceremonies for seven days. When the citizens of Canaan saw those people mourning at Atad, they said, “What a solemn ceremony of mourning the Egyptians are holding!”  That is why the place was named Abel Mizraim. 12 so Jacob’s sons did as he had commanded them: they carried his body to Canaan and buried it in the cave at Machpelah, east of Mamre, in the field which Abraham had bought from Ephron the Hittite for a burial ground. After Joseph had buried his father he returned to Egypt with his brothers and all who had gone with him for the funeral.

TO BURY THE BODY IN CANAAN, THE BODY WAS EMBALMED. SUCH A GRAND JOURNEY TO BURY THE FATHER AND ALL THE KING’S OFFICIALS ACCOMPANIED THE DEAD BODY.

 ADVANCE NEWS OF BIBLE AND QURAN FULFILLED

(1)       JOSEPH CARRIED THE  MUMMY OF HIS FATHER  FOR BURIAL

(2)       AND  HIS OWN MUMMY  WAS CARRIED BY MOSES ON THE DRY PATH ACROSS THE SEA !!!  -------------  (advance news of the bible fulfilled)  -------------

(3)        AND FROM THE SAME DRY PATH OF THE SEA CAME THE  MUMMY OF PHARAOH  FOR THE FUTURE WORLD TO SEE!!    ---  (advance news of the QURAN fulfilled)  -

CONNECTION  BETWEEN  JOSEPH’S  MUMMY  &  PHARAOH’S  MUMMY

 When Moses (Ph) and his followers fled from Pharaoh (King of Egypt), Pharaoh pursued Moses. Moses carried with him the roughly 400 years old body of Joseph (Ph) which had been embalmed and preserved in a coffin.

 When Moses and his followers reached the sea and Pharaoh with his army was close behind them, the followers of Moses became terrified. But Allah (God) divided the sea into 2 parts, with one wall of water on the right and one wall of water on the left, and a dry ground in between.

Pharaoh saw Moses and his followers along with the 400 years old coffin of Joseph (Ph) walk through the sea on dry ground. Imagine, how they must have felt walking between 2 walls of water, a wall which could fall down anytime.

 Pharaoh, full of anger, entered with his army on this dry bed of the sea.  Moses and his followers along with 400 years old coffin of Joseph had crossed the dry bed of the sea and reached the other side.

 But while Pharaoh and his army were still on the dry bed of the sea, the two walls of water from their right and from their left suddenly collapsed, drowning Pharaoh and his army.

Moses with his followers and the coffin of Joseph’s mummy saw Pharaoh and his army drowning in the sea.

 The ONLY mummy mentioned in the Bible, that is, the mummy of Joseph was on the other side of the sea. The ONLY mummy mentioned in the Quran, that is, the mummy of Pharaoh was being formed at that very moment.  He was being drowned, and his body was soon going to be embalmed and preserved for future generations to see as a sign from  ALLAH.

The ONLY mummy of Joseph which the Bible said was preserved went across the dry ground of the sea between 2 walls of water.

The ONLY mummy of Pharaoh which the Quran said was preserved at that very moment was created on the same dry ground of the sea between two walls of water. Because the 2 walls of water collapsed, filling the dry bed of the sea with water once again. Pharaoh was drowned in this process. His dead body was saved, embalmed and preserved. 

So the ONE and ONLY mummy mentioned in the Bible, that is the mummy of Joseph and the ONE and ONLY mummy mentioned in the Quran that is the mummy of Pharaoh, both have direct connections with the event of the divided sea,  the dry ground of the sea between 2 walls of water. 

Just as if the Bible is the Lightning and the Quran the Thunder – 2 different manifestations of the same event in the clouds.  Two different signs of the mummies of Joseph and Pharaoh from the same   Allah  (God) …

Joseph had commanded roughly 400 years before that his dead body should be carried away from Egypt  only when God will RESCUE  the children of Israel. So the temporary division of the sea into 2 parts with a dry ground to walk upon between 2 walls of water was a CONDITION for the RESCUE TO TAKE PLACE.

The mummy of Pharaoh came from THE SAME EVENT OF RESCUE. The same event of the divided Sea, the same dry ground of the sea between 2 walls of water.

The God who was worshiped when the body of Joseph was preserved in the Bible is the same God who talks about preserving the body of Pharaoh in the Quran -------- ISLAM is not just after Christianity,   but a continuity   of Judaism and Christianity !!!

Joseph asked his people to make a  V O W.   “P R O M I S E  ME”, he said, “that WHEN God leads you to that land,  you will take my body with you.”  So Joseph died in Egypt at the age of a hundred and ten. They embalmed his body and put it in a coffin.  (Holy Bible, Genesis 50/25-26).

Moses took the body of Joseph with him as Joseph had made the Israelites solemnly PROMISE to do. Joseph had said “When God RESCUES you,  you must  carry my body with you from this place.”  (Holy Bible, Exodus 13/19).

Joseph had commanded roughly 400 years before Exodus that his dead body should be carried away from Egypt only when God will RESCUE the children of Israel.

 Why RESCUE ?  Why JOSEPH insisted on the rescue to take place?  He is the same Joseph who carried the dead body of his father Jacob for burial, but … but … But in the case of   his own dead body,  Joseph insisted for rescue to take place, and insisted that his dead body should be carried away from Egypt only then  (i.e. RESCUE).

 Why was the body of Joseph embalmed   and put in a coffin  for 400 years   till  the  Rescue   (Exodus)  took  place ? ? ? why ?

 CAN JEWS  AND  CHRISTIANS  GIVE  EXPLANATION  AS TO WHY   JOSEPH   INSISTED   ON   RESCUE ? ? ?

The rescue took place 400 years later. Many generations passed away.

 Please  keep  thinking,  and thinking,  and  thinking:-

 WHY  RESCUE?         WHY  RESCUE?         WHY  RESCUE?

             WHY  MUST  ?                     WHY  VOW  ?                 WHY  PROMISE  ?

 Was there any special point,  Special Event  going to take place during the rescue?

Special  Event

For the rescue to take place, the sea was to be divided. The temporary division of the sea into 2 parts with a dry ground to walk upon between 2 walls of water was a CONDITION for the RESCUE TO TAKE PLACE. Joseph’s mummy inside the coffin went on this dry ground, Moses was rescued. Only minutes later  Pharaoh was drowned.

 But 2000 years after Pharaoh was drowned, Allah in the Holy Quran declared that the body of the Pharaoh has been preserved. And 1300 years after this declaration,  Allah showed the mummy of the Pharaoh to the world in the year 1898.

 The Holy Quran says in CHAPTER 10 NAMED YUNUS (JONAH OF THE BIBLE) VERSES NO.90-91-92:-

“And we led the Children of Israel across the sea, then Pharaoh and his host pursued them in rebellion and enmity, until, when the drowning overtook him, he said:  I believe that verily He!  There is no god but He, in Whom the children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims…. Now indeed whereas thou had rebelled afore, and was of the corrupters… So this day We deliver thee in thy body that thou mayest be a sign unto those after thee,  and verily many of the mankind are of Our signs neglectful !.”

 The mummy of Joseph went on the day of Rescue, the mummy of Pharaoh came from THE SAME EVENT OF RESCUE. The same event of the divided Sea, the same dry ground of the sea between 2 walls of water. 

The God who was worshiped when the body of Joseph was preserved in the Bible is the same God who talks about preserving the body of Pharaoh in the Quran -------- ISLAM is not just after Christianity,   but  a  continuity  of  Judaism  and  Christianity  ! ! !

JOSEPH   CONSIDERS  IT  A  DIVINE   PLAN

GENESIS 45/5—8         (JOSEPH  Said:)

“(5) Now do not be upset or blame yourselves because you sold me here. It was really God who sent me ahead of you to save people’s lives. (6)…….. (7) God sent me ahead of you to rescue you in this amazing way and to make sure that you and your descendants survive. (8) So it was not really you who sent me here, but God.”

 So JOSEPH told his brothers:-  “So it was not really you who sent me here, but God”.  In other words, Joseph said that his brothers threw him in the well  because  of  a  DIVINE  PLAN.

 How can Jews and Christians deny the fact that Moses, who was cast into the river when a baby, carried the coffin of Joseph who was thrown into the well when young ? ? ?  No other prophet, but only these two prophets were left all alone in youth & when a baby (in the well and river) …. Joseph to lie inside the coffin and Moses to carry the coffin of Joseph at the time of the Rescue. What a fantastic divine plan !

 This is why Joseph made “Rescue” the condition for his body to go out of Egypt,  so that those who believe in the Bible  may find it easy to believe in the Quran……The mummy of Joseph is the only mummy preserved in The Bible. The mummy of Pharaoh is the only mummy preserved in The Quran.

 Just as if the Bible is the Lightning and the Quran the Thunder – 2 different manifestations of the same event in the clouds.  Two different signs of the mummies of Joseph & Pharaoh from the same  Allah  (God) ………………………..  The PROMISE in the Bible made to Joseph for carrying his mummy at the time of Rescue was fulfilled on the dry path of the sea………… The prophecy of the Quran about preservation of Pharaoh’s mummy was made on the same dry path of the sea, exactly when Pharaoh was drowned.

 Dear Jews and Christians, please ponder over the four words “RESCUE”,  “VOW”,  “MUST”,  “PROMISE”, and embrace Islam by believing in THE TRUE PORTIONS OF THE HOLY BIBLE AND IN THE DIVINE VERSES OF THE HOLY QUR’AN.

 The book with Bani Israel (Bible) will invite to believe in the BRETHREN’S BOOK with Bani Ismail (Quran); ANOTHER and the SECOND fulfillment of the following verse of the Holy Bible:-

 “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their  BRETHREN,  like unto thee, and I will put  my words in his mouth;   and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”(Bible, Deuteronomy-18: 18)

I invite the Jews, Christians, Muslims and all mankind to write an ‘ESSAY’ on the 2^nd fulfillment of the verse of the Holy Bible (Deuteronomy–18: 18) as mentioned above.  The Best ESSAY  will be given Rs.25,000/= reward.  The Judges will be the Imams of the Holy House in Makkah and Masjid-e-Nabvi in case of Muslims, and the Pope in the case of Christians, and the Chief Rabbi in case of Jews. 1.                  When Prophet Ibrahim (PH) was thrown into the fire, the fire did not burn him. Those who were present there saw the scene,  but  we  only  heard.

2.                  When the stick of Moses (PH) became a snake those present saw.  But we have only heard.

3.                  But the true story of the mummies of Joseph and Pharaoh  were only heard in the past.   But it is only we who are understanding   and   seeing this miracle   with our own eyes.

4.                   Therefore in chapter Yunus (10), verse 92 of the Holy Quran, it is we about whom Allah is speaking because the mummy of Pharaoh which is a Sign from Allah has been discovered in our times.     

NOT   JUST   THE   KING,

BUT  THE  KINGDOM,  TOO

 The drowning of Pharaoh was not a small point. It was not just the drowning of the King but it was the drowning of a  KINGDOM.

 The whole army was drowned. The Bible says that not one was left (to narrate the story).  And where was Pharaoh drowned ?  He was drowned on the dry ground of the divided sea.  The  dry  ground was  made  not  by  any  human  hand,  but  by  Allah. 

The dry ground was like a road made by Allah. The only road in the world and in the history of the world, which was not made by man. The  only  road  on  earth  made  by  Allah.

Has any one ever heard that a whole army has drowned along with the King, and that too while chasing weak people? Is there any event of this kind besides this  SINGULAR  EVENT?

Will not every event happening on this road made by Allah deserve the utmost attention?  So  read  again  now  carefully  what must be read most carefully.

We have little time to think that we have no time to waste.

SPIRITUAL  GIFT  TO  DISBELIEVERS  IN  ALLAH (God)

This miracle of Joseph’s mummy and Pharaoh’s mummy covers a period of more than 3500 years, starting from embalming of Joseph’s body till the year 1898 A.D., i.e. the year of discovery of Pharaoh’s mummy.  Such a long span of time EXCLUDES any human planning and shows very clearly the Hands of Allah.  In the events of Joseph’s mummy, Divided Sea and Pharaoh’s mummy one feels within himself the Existence of Allah, and His Uninterrupted Control of events spanning over more than 3500 years.

 When it is total dark, nobody sees. When there is some light, some people see.  When the light is bright, those who do not see still are known as blind.
