Can God Lie according to the Holy Bible??? Extract from the Scofield Reference Bible (January 1, 1917). Hebrews 6/18 :-
“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie……”
Extract from the Good News Bible (3rd Print 1977) Hebrews 6/17 & 18 :-
“To those who were to receive what he promised, God wanted to make it clear that he would never change his purpose; so he added his vow to the promise. There are these two things then, that cannot change and about which God cannot lie”. Observation The above two Bibles clearly give the impression that God can lie besides two things because in these two immutable things it was impossible for God to lie.
God Can Never Lie according to the Holy Quran. Please see the following extracts from the Holy Quran:- 4/122 “Allah’s Promise is the truth, and whose words can be truer than those of Allah?” 41/42 “Falsehood cannot come at it from before it or behind it. It is a revelation from One Wise and Praiseworthy.” 6/115 “And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His Words.” 10/55 “No doubt, surely, Allah’s Promise is true.” 39/23 “Allah sent down the Best statement, a Book, its parts resembling each other in goodness and truth, oft-repeated.”
Warm Invitation to Christians Dear Christians,
A man lies only because his mind is small and his knowledge and wisdom are limited. Therefore he commits mistakes and speaks lies in order to save himself from loss of wealth, prestige, etc. Allah is above such situations, and therefore He has no need to lie in any circumstance. Even if Allah does not promise or make a vow, even then He will not lie.
Dear Christians are requested to interpret these verses of the Holy Bible keeping the Honor and Glory of God in mind OR explain those verses in such a manner that all doubts are erased from the hearts.
